Harmonix Working On A Semi-Secret Game

Harmonix Working On A Semi-Secret Game

None

Brian Chan, a senior designer at Harmonix, is purportedly working on a new multi-platform project that will eventually show up on XBLA, PSN, and Facebook. The news comes from Chan’s very own public resume, which simply mentioned that he had begun work on the project and disclosed which systems it would eventually land on.

Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network are two very obvious choices for a Harmonix project, but the addition of a Facebook version makes this report all the more interesting. There’s no word on whether or not the consoles will be able to share data with the social network, or if they will all be standalone platforms.

Harmonix hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the project, but the developer has been in touch with the gaming community. “As we’ve stated before,” a representative told Joystiq, “our studio is growing and hard at work on a variety of titles. In a storied Harmonix tradition, our designers start working on those games before they’re publicly announced.”

The representative also joked that they would be releasing more news “in the coming months, probably via a LinkedIn update or something – we haven’t decided.”
