PS All-Stars Battle Royale Public Beta Announced

None

Developer SuperBot Entertainment has announced that its upcoming brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will have a public beta sometime this fall.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, SuperBot also confirmed that they held a private beta of Battle Royale last week for a small number players—the same beta from which a a heaping of leaked info about the game was apparently revealed.

Chan Park, president of SuperBot, directly addressed those recent rumors, saying: “We’ve enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups, however we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular.”

The dev says that a new character will be formally unveiled at Gamescom, while “batches of [beta] codes” will be sent out in the coming weeks to select players in the lead-up to the eventual public beta. It has also been announced that PlayStation Plus members will get early access to the beta, whenever it is ready to go.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is scheduled to bring its crossover fighting action to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on October 23.
