Hasbro/Atari Lawsuit Settled

Hasbro/Atari Lawsuit Settled

None

A while back, Hasbro said that Atari entered into a partnership with NAMCO Bandi for D&D digital game rights. This was seen as a no no by Hasbro, considering there was an exclusivity contract between Hasbro and Atari at the time. As a result, Hasbro sought damages for economic losses suffered, as well as a termination of the licensing agreement.

As of today, a final resolution has been reached. Plainly put, digital licensing rights for Dungeons and Dragons are now returned to Hasbro. Atari will continue to develop and produce games under the license, (specifically games already under development) but it is not certain that they will continue afterward.
