Heavy Rain Director’s Cut Drops Very Soon

Heavy Rain Director’s Cut Drops Very Soon

None

Recently, David Cage disappointed Heavy Rain fans by revealing that he had no interest in making a sequel to the 2010 title. But today, Quadratic Dream revealed that they would be releasing a director’s cut of Heavy Rain in the very, very near future.

This isn’t a “director’s cut” in the same way that Ridley Scott recut Blade Runner. The game itself will remain exactly the same. However, players who purchase the rerelease will also get the Taxidermist DLC, the soundtrack, and menu support for the PlayStation Move. Plus they’ll receive eight “making of” videos, a couple of trailers, concept art, and three dynamic themes.

In order to get the word out, Quadratic Dream is releasing a free dynamic theme on the PlayStation Store on launch day.

Heavy Rain Director’s Cut will hit the shelves on November 8th, and will hopefully offset some of the losses that Quantic Dream co-founder Guillaume de Fondaumière insists the title suffered during its original release.
