Hexakill Gameplay Mode Now Available in League of Legends

Hexakill Gameplay Mode Now Available in League of Legends

League of Legends’ new game mode has finally dropped after being announced last week on League of Legends official website. The new Hexakill Featured Gameplay Mode is now available for all to play and for all to do near enough the exact same thing, except this time with the addition of a sixth player.

Hexakill is Summoner’s Rift (5v5), but with one more player added into the mix for each team. The addition of a sixth player kinda throws the typical strategies of 2-1-2 (two Top-lane, one Mid-lane, two Bottom-lane) or 1-1-1-2 (one Top-lane, one Jungler, one Mid-lane, two Bottom-lane) into the air a wee bit, as it allows for some unorthodox tactics, such as double Junglers or a roaming Support in addition to the Support helping out the ADC.

What’s more, the addition of a sixth player into the teams allows for the new multi-kill announcement “Hexakill”, which is when/if you kill all six of your opponents teams members sequentially, a one-up of the “Pentakill” multi-kill of the same principle, except with five kills instead of six.

Having tried Hexakill out for myself with my friends, I can confidently say that having two Supports on your team is really useful.

Sadly, Hexakill is only available for a short period of time. The new game mode first dropped on the League of Legends client yesterday (February 20) and will keep on going until March 2, which is little more than a week away. So, if you’re wanting to give Hexakill a try, pop onto League when you can and try it out for yourself (and remember to behave too)!
