I Am Alive, the much hyped post-apocalyptic action adventure game from Ubisoft, has finally gotten a release date set in stone—or, in this case, set in sand and crumbled building debris.

The game will come to the Xbox LIVE Arcade during the Xbox LIVE Arcade House Party on March 7th 2012. No price has yet been announced, but as a downloadable title, we can probably expect something in the twenty-to-thirty-dollar range.



I Am Alive is a game about surviving in situations where resources are sparse and everyone around you is afraid. As a result, gameplay focuses on cunning resource management and combat avoidance. Bullets will be hard to find, and boards with nails in them will be the weapons of choice. Cowards will be able to be swayed away from combat simply by pointing an empty gun at them. You can die of thirst or starvation, or merely over-exhaust yourself in a world where everyone is battling just to stay alive for another day.

If this sounds like an awesome game to you, then you are either a survivalist nut or I Am Alive’s target audience. Or both. Either way, be sure to pick up the game when it comes out on March 7th.
