iOS Ports of Bastion, Phoenix Wright On The Way

iOS Ports of Bastion, Phoenix Wright On The Way

Good news for all you iOS gamers out there: a couple of high-profile releases are being brought over to some of Apple’s devices.

First up is Bastion, which will be available in the iPad App Store starting tomorrow, August 30. Supergiant’s popular action-RPG will only be available for second and third-generation iPads due to “technical reasons.”

The core game is generally unchanged, but simplified touch controls have been included for the transition to the tablet. A “classic controls” option is still available though. It’ll run you $4.99. If you’re in New Zealand, you can pick up for yourself right now because, as we all know, New Zealanders exist in the future .

Second, Capcom has announced that the first three Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney titles, originally released on the DS, will make their way over to iOS devices later this year. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations will get HD remasters, specialized touch controls, and a new “Everyone Object” mode in which players can email or tweet certain series catchphrases (like “Objection!” or “Hold it!”) to their friends.

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney HD app will be downloadable for free from the App Store sometime this fall, but only the first two chapters of the first game will be available to play as a free demo. The full games themselves can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle. No specific pricing details have been provided yet.
