Keiji Inafune Turns To Piracy

Keiji Inafune Turns To Piracy

None

Keiji Inafune, the producer of such classic games like Mega Man and Dead Rising, is working on a new, non-Capcom game, and there are pirates all over it. It’s called Kaio: King of the Pirates, and it’s for the Nintendo 3DS.

Kaio: King of the Pirates is an action role-playing game that is centered around a penguin pirate protagonist. Supposedly, it is a pirate retelling of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. There is nothing about that statement I don’t like.

Hardcore gamers, slow your roll, because this game is actually made for kids. Then again, hardcore gamesters play Pokémon like crazy, so I’m sure Kaio’s target demographic isn’t going to stop them from playing this one too. Especially since it’s coming from the guy who brought us Mega Man. The game will be published by Marvelous AQL and will be released in early 2012.

This is a 3DS game, so that means this little penguin can stab lizards to death in wonderful eye-straining stereoscopic 3D. Once again, there is nothing about this project I don’t like.
