Press Release:

November 12, 2008 – After many years and volumes of fan speculation, Albert Wesker, one of the most loved villains in the gaming world, comes to life again in Resident Evil 5! Actor and motion capture artist, KEN LALLY, lends his talents to create this legendary gaming character. A former stunt man and son of a N.S.A. field operative, Lally has made a career out of playing “baddies” on screen, stage and numerous video games.

Gamers from all over the world have given Wesker a cult following for many years; and recently at the Tokyo Game Show, the crowd went crazy when Capcom, the game’s developer and publisher revealed its GIANT secret — the return of Wesker!

Lally thinks the fans won’t be disappointed with this latest installation, “It just looks so cool. It’s better than any motion capture movie I’ve ever seen. Just the design and the concept of lighting, even though its computer generated, the world itself is so unique and so dangerous…it’s shocking. I would want to play the games just to immerse myself into that world.”

Playing the villain just comes easy to Lally, a lifelong martial artist, fighter and stunt man. He’s had years of practice playing evil villainous characters ranging from Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, to the Supervillain on Heroes: Villains known only as ‘The German’. One might say Lally is very good at being bad. And now, Lally is an integral part of what could be considered Capcom’s most successful franchise to date, as he brings back the games most loved character since its inception. Lally explains, “Living up to the fan’s expectations is hard to do, but I loved the challenge and am confident the fans will be excited by what we’ve created.”

Lally looks forward to making the rounds at the gaming and sci-fi conventions and is anxious to see what the fans think of the real Albert Wesker!

Resident Evil 5 release date: March 13, 2009; platforms: PS3 and X360.
