Konami Reveals a Lot of Gaming Goodies: New Silent hill, Lost In Shadow, and Rush'N Attack Ex-Patriot

None

At a recent media event, Konami gave a bit of guidance for gaming franchises outside of bringing product placement to Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

For starters, a true continuation of the Silent Hill horror franchise is coming to next-gen consoles, though no other hard details concerning gameplay mechanics or a release date have been offered. We will know more at E3 2010.

Next, a new IP, called Lost In Shadow, will come to the Wii and offers players a unique, artsy take on puzzle platforming. From the look and story – an alternate reality, a severed shadow, and the onset of evil – the game should be reminiscent of titles such as Braid, Ico, Echchrome, P.B. Winterbottom, etc.

Finally, the classic arcade Rush’N Attack is getting completely remade and reworked for next-gen digital arcade platforms. From what we’ve seen so far, Rush’N Attack Ex-Patriot should be pretty similar to the excellent gameplay found in Shadow Complex and Bionic Commando Rearmed. Also, taking a nod from the Metal Gear franchise, Rush’N Attack Ex-Patriot will incorporate stealth combat in addition to run-and-gun gameplay. Ex-Patriot is using Unreal Engine and is supposed to be visually exceptional.
