Fighting game aficionados have been eagerly awaiting the reboot of the Mortal Kombat franchise, due to be released next year. According to unconfirmed rumors, there might be one more reason to get excited about the new Mortal Kombat…at least for PS3 owners.  Fighting game website Shoryuken claims that the January issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine will have details about Kratos, the perpetually angry protagonist from the God of War series, being a playable character in the Mortal Kombat reboot. While Kratos will reportedly not be in the story mode, he will be available in the versus mode as a combatant. No further details are currently available, but it is possible that other consoles may have exclusive characters as well. This console exclusivity has been done before, most notably with the Soul Calibur series. More on this as details become available. |
