Mad-Infinitume: Puzzle Impossible

Mad-Infinitume: Puzzle Impossible

Mad-Infinitume: Puzzle Impossible is undoubtedly one of the most unique and challenging puzzle games ever devised. It’s so intense and complex that its creators claim it’s unlikely to ever be solved in one’s lifetime. It will have to be handed down through subsequent generations.

Mad-Infinitume: Puzzle Impossible, at its core, is a novel. However, all of the words have been scrambled. The challenge is to arrange those words exactly as the author intended. Not one word can be left out, or used in a different place. Even the page numbers are mixed in with the “word pile.” This novel has never been published, despite it’s famous author. Only a handful of people in the world have read it, and all but one are dead.

“Mad-Infinitume: Puzzle Impossible is a monumental achievement,” says creator Yuri Popoff, “The novel is the only full-length work of Kafka in existence, and I am the only person alive to have read it. Kafka was one of the greatest writers in history. His style is eccentric, mystical, wonderful, and pure genius. He didn’t obey standard grammatical rules, he invented his own. Good luck putting this back together.”

Popoff says the novel was willed to his great, great grandfather by Franz Kafka before his death in 1924. It was passed down through the generations in his family, something Popoff says he wants to do with this puzzle. He claims it may take as many as four or five generations to work on it before it’s solved. The game is available for any gaming system with an internet connection, but you won’t need to be connected all the time as you’ll only use it to receive occasional definitions of words and some glimpses into Kafka’s personal life. Keep in mind the novel has been translated, having been written in German.

Words are selected from the word pile and placed onto the blank pages using a stylus, mouse, or button command. Should a player consider the puzzle solved, they simply upload it to the Metamorphosis site where it will be verified in a matter of minutes. You will only be informed whether you’re correct or not. No hints, no percentages. You could have one word wrong, or all of them. You’ll only know it’s not perfect. When you’ve had enough frustration for one lifetime, Mad-Infinitume: Puzzle Impossible makes a great gift for your son, and his son, and possibly his son’s son.
