Marvel, DC, and Others to Cooperate on SuperMorph*

None

Spider-Hulk, or how about Bat-Lantern? Wonder what it would be like to combine Superman and Wonder Woman? Well wonder no more man; with SuperMorph you can combine superheroes to create incredible hybrids with inconceivable powers.

SuperMorph features hundreds of superhero characters (and the ones that aren’t necessarily super-powered), and allows you to mix and match their DNA. SuperMorph contains all the popular heroes such as Iron Man, Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Captain America, The Flash, Wolverine, and all four of the Fantastic Four just to name a few. There’s also a bevy of lesser-known heroes such as Birdman, Dr. Strange, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Ant-Man, and Thor.

Stats are included on each and every superhero. You’ll learn their origins, abilities, weaknesses, and idiosyncrasies. You can extract DNA samples from any hero and combine them with up to four other samples. In the lab you will interact with the interface to select the amount and types of proteins that you want to use for your new creation. You may just want to add Superman’s flying ability to another hero, or perhaps take away his invincibility to bullets to make things more challenging.

Using an extensive algorithm program, the combinations are virtually unlimited. No two creations will be the same as long as you vary at least one parameter. Each new character that you create will be taken into a new level of the game to face unique enemies and situations. You won’t know what to expect until you are experiencing it.

To keep things interesting, SuperMorph also features comical and cartoon-style heroes such as Mighty Mouse, Underdog, The Tick, Ropeman, Diaper Man, El Kabong, Hong Kong Phooey, The Shoveller, Howard the Duck, Darkwing Duck, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Handi-Man from In Living Color. Be sure to add some of these in the mix for hilarious or disastrous results. Experimentation is heartily encouraged.

Continuing through the game you will capture numerous super villains. Their DNA can also be extracted and used for your experiments, but keep in mind the unpredictable nature of their psychological makeup. Their unstable DNA may cause some serious complications. Some of the bad bosses you’ll face include Doctor Doom, Magneto, The Joker, The Green Goblin, Venom, Lex Luthor, Doctor Octopus, and the Penguin. It’s rumored that if you combine equal amounts of Batman and the Joker, the game disk will self-destruct. Cool.

Look for SuperMorph to be released on the first of April 2010.
