A multiplayer beta for upcoming shooter Medal of Honor Warfighter will land exclusively on Xbox 360 in early October, Electronic Arts has announced today.
The beta will feature the game’s new HotSpot multiplayer mode, which will see players team up to attack and defend various points (or “hotspots”) on the Bosnian Sarajevo Stadium map.
Those who download the beta have a shot at earning a few rewards too. First, if the beta reaches three million downloads, all of those who participate will be able to get early access to the band Linkin Park’s “Castle of Glass” music video, which was created in collaboration with developer Danger Close. If you kids are just itching to get more nu metal on your Walkman, you’ll want to go for that.
Secondly, anyone who downloads the beta will get a free hour of Double XP when the whole game launches.
Medal of Honor Warfighter is out October 23 for 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. There are currently no plans to release a beta for those latter two platforms.
