Capcom is slowly but surely rolling out goodies for the Blue Bomber’s 25 th birthday celebration. And even though they haven’t announced any compelling software (seriously, Capcom, we’re waiting!), they have unveiled a statuette, a mega buster USB drive, and now a 3DS case with Mega Man himself emblazoned atop it.
Soon to be available exclusively through Capcom’s online store (and most likely at Comic Con in July), the case will be available in both standard 3DS and 3DS XL sizes. It’s a form-fitting piece, designed so as not to impede the handheld’s function in any way, serving more as a protective shell than a true case. Silver in color, it’s top features a blue outline of Mega Man drawn in the 8-bit style, having just fired a small blast from his buster cannon (of note, the image is oriented so that it would be upside down to anyone watching you play). On the underside, the 25 th anniversary logo.
Here’s hoping this is just the lead-up to something more substantial for Mega Man’s quarter-century celebration.
