The first three titles in the famed Metal Gear series are getting their own box set for the PlayStation 2. This pack will be far smaller than the eight disc monster pictured below that released in Japan. That collection had everything but the kitchen sink thrown into it. On the bright side, it will only cost you $30 to relive those 8-bit days. According to Wired, “ Konami’s American branch doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to limited-edition game releases. They put out a minuscule number of copies of the three-disc version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and priced it so low that supply and demand were way out of whack. ” That might spell trouble for aficionados of the series. If the supply is equally as scarce for this collection, look for the $30 price tag to double or even triple on eBay.
