MineCon 2016 just concluded. With it came an array of revelations about various iterations of the game. Most important are the updates for the mobile Pocket, Windows 10, and Gear VR versions of Minecraft . All three are getting mods, in a way. We’ll finally get to start altering these iterations of the game!
The Minecraft add-ons will come to the Pocket, Windows 10, and Gear VR versionsstarting on October 18, gradually allowing you to tweak and adjust your experience. The first add-on will be the community-created Castle Siege, showing off text file edits that adjust the experience. As time goes on, the add-ons will include altered items and blocks.
This is the first step toward something great, I just know it. Mods really help improve the Minecraft experience. Both the user-created and official Mojang DLC add-ons really make it pop! This combined with the boss update coming in October will make it a great month for these versions of the game.
