Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Cheats & Cheat Codes for PC

Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete is a 2000 compendium that combines the base Heroes of Might and Magic III and its expansions, Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death, into one neat package. It contains everything you need to have the ultimate Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete experience. Given its age, it will run on practically any PC these days.

Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Premise

There are two main systems that dominate Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete: more tactical overland exploration and turn-based combat. It follows the same formula as the previous games in the franchise and doesn’t do too much to innovate.

On the overland, you gather your army by spending resources in towns. Your overall aim is to capture as many other towns as possible. You can use your towns to form armies, increasing your overall strength and ability to expand further. In fact, the towns are the biggest resource sinks in the entire game, as you can upgrade its creatures and heroes defending it within, and the building types. The exploration available to you is extensive, with numerous Grail artifacts to collect, giving your towns and armies unique bonuses.

You increase your level in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete by taking part in turn-based combat. Each victory results in earned XP as you defeat enemy heroes and monsters. When you level up, you’re given a choice of skills to level up for your hero, improving your proficiency in might (attack and defense) and magic. You can’t level up into infinity, meaning skill choices are limited. This forces you to think more about your build, which is a great system.

As a fantasy game, Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete has an absolutely enormous story taking place over a series of seven playable campaigns. The game’s story is told from seven different points of view, with you taking charge of a different town in each point of view. Along the way, one character stands out among the rest, recurring throughout each campaign.

  • Queen Catherine Ironfist: Queen Catherine Ironfist is the overarching protagonist of Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete. Following the murder of her father, King Nicolas Gryphonheart, the Kingdom of Erathia collapses to the nations Nighon and Eeofol. Antagarich looks to bring her people together against these evil forces. She must make a series of difficult choices, which is part of your job in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete

Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Titles in the Series

The early games in the Heroes of Might and Magic series are very much a product of their time, and in hindsight, they look like generic fantasy compared to many franchises today. In its time though the game was something of a trailblazer alongside the likes of Dungeons and Dragons, with the latter being more effective at remaining relevant in recent years.

A 2009 rebrand to Might & Magic Heroes has done little to strengthen the franchise, with gamers having more options than ever to choose from in the fantasy genre. It’s been without a mainline title for a few years now, but fans of the franchise remain passionate about its potential return in the future.

With the base game released in 1999 and this collection released in 2000, Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete was released in an era where cheat codes were far more commonplace.

In today’s era of gaming, what might have been a cheat code two decades ago might now be a microtransaction. Luckily for fans of Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete, that’s not something you have to worry about here.

Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Cheat Code FAQs

Do Cheat Codes For Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Work in Every Expansion?

Sadly not. The cheat codes we have outlined above only work in their respective expansions of the game. However, a lot of the cheat codes do the same thing as ones from other expansions, and are just named something different, so for most this won’t be too much of a real problem.

Do I Have To Enable Cheats in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete?

Nope – all you have to do is press Tab while playing. This brings up the cheat menu where you can enter the codes. It might seem too simple to be true, but it is! No backdoor file editing is required here like many other PC games.

Can I Cheat To Max Level in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete?

You can, but it comes with some risks. Instant Level-Up cheats can take you up to Level 74, but you shouldn’t go any further. Reaching Level 75 causes a rollover, taking you straight to Level 88. While this sounds great, it actually makes the game much harder as it automatically scales the difficulty, so you should take care when doing this.
