Mortal Kombat’s Rain DLC Dated

Mortal Kombat’s Rain DLC Dated

None

After an awesome trailer showed us we were going to get a chance to play as Mortal Kombat’s purple Ninja after all, MK fans everywhere began wondering when they could throw their hard-earned cash at NetherRealm’s feet for a chance to expand the roster just a little more. Well, NetherRealm Studios just revealed Rain’s release date. You will be able to purchase him July 19th for five bucks or four hundred Microsoft points.

Rain is significantly wetter than he was in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Though he still has his lighting strike special move—which has gotten much more powerful, by the way—most of his special attacks involve water. He can water teleport, water throw, and even encase his opponents in bubbles of water to leave them helpless. Many of these moves allow him to string together impressive combos with both the water bubble and lightning bolt acting as extenders. He also has the ability to shoot streams of water from his hands and from the ground to both push and pull his enemies around the battlefield. In short, he looks like he’s very good at controlling space.

We were only given a brief look at Rain’s fatalities, but it appears decapitation is involved in at least one.
