Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution , the anime fighting game with a title that just keeps growing, is going to delve into manga canon in ways no anime fighter has before. The game will have over 50 minutes of original, never before seen anime footage. It will go into detail about the backstory of the Akatsuki group, one of Naruto ’s primary villains. While the anime and manga do go into Akatsuki’s history, Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will delve into its past more than any other piece of Naruto media.
Namco Bandai has said that these new anime scenes will be woven into the gameplay itself. The major story will focus on Pain and Konan, and how they expanded the Akatsuki’s ranks. In addition, all Akatsuki members will be given new costumes to select, designed by Naruto series creator Masashi Kishimoto.
