After many delays, the first game carts for the Neo Geo X have finally arrived. Those who’ve ordered them should see them shipping presently. There are six different packs in the initial set, each comprising multiple classic Neo Geo titles.
There are five “Classics” volumes, each containing three games on a cart, but the sixth item is a premium-priced “Mega Pack,” which comes with all fifteen titles included in the various classic volume. It’s definitely the better deal at $80, as compared to the Classic volumes’ combined price of $125, and it comes in a reproduction AES cartridge case, which will go well with the Neo Geo X docking station’s aesthetic.
All releases include the latest firmware update, which allows for things such as game saves, and the “Rocket Cable,” for charging the Neo Geo X independent of its docking station.
Games available include classics such as King of Fighters ’96 and Metal Slug 2 along with later releases like Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
