The next Call of Duty game has been confirmed by Activision. Granted, this isn’t exactly big news as we were all relatively certain the franchise hadn’t died, but at least we have official confirmation now.
This new Call of Duty game will be made by Treyarch, the same studio that did the Black Ops series. Many fans are wondering whether or not the game will be “ Black Ops 3 ” or will be some entirely new property, like Call of Duty: Ghosts . This will be the first game that Treyarch has had three years to develop, now that Sledgehammer Studios has joined the Call of Duty fold.
Unfortunately, no further details about the game have been revealed, not even a title. We will bring you more information on Treyarch’s new Call of Duty project when it becomes available and will likely hear more as we head toward this year’s E3.
