New Copies of Alan Wake Get "Free" Additional Content

It looks like Microsoft Game Studios has decided to go the way of EA and BioWare; they’re giving away “free” DLC to players that purchase their games new.

According to the following UK presser, those who purchase Alan Wake will get free access to the first game add-on at no additional cost.  Each retail copy of the title will include a chit which can be redeemed for the bonus content.  Players that pick up the disc used will have to fork over MS points for the goods, though no pricing has yet been given.

While we understand publishers and developers should be rewarded for their hard work (buying a used game gives them no benefit), these day-1 DLC packs just seem like they should be included with the game anyway.
