If there is one thing we just can’t get enough of, it’s even more sneak peeks into the world of the upcoming Spidey sequel (coming to theaters this spring)!
Total Film showed off seven new exclusive screenshots from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 (starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx) today. They run the gambit of Spidey-excitement, from Gwen Stacy being in jeopardy (naturally), Spider-Man leaving Rhino a bit “tied-up,” and Electro doing what he does best: being electric. As expected, Oscorp will play a more centralized roll as a villain in this film, but audiences may be surprised to learn that it will have plot threads that carry over into other planned Spidey-spin offs as well. Roberto Orci (who is part of the team working on both the Venom and Sinister Six films) recently said: “Oscorp plays an important part in how our villains get created…So the idea of it representing the good and the bad of science, that it can do great things, but it can also mess you up and do weird things and transform people — as all science can be used for good or bad. So it’s nice to have that organizing principal…It flowed naturally from the story development.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will hit theaters on May 2 nd , 2014.
