New Metro 20XX Game Teased

New Metro 20XX Game Teased

The Metro series of post-apocalyptic shooters will soon have another title in its lineup, according to its official series website. The games, based on a series of books by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, depict the aftermath of World War III as a young man ventures beyond the Moscow subway tunnels where he was raised. The story is told across three books and two games: Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, both of which were re-released in a compilation package called Metro Redux.

Now, thanks to a new entry in the series timeline on the Metro 2035 website, we know that another game is headed our way in 2017. The cryptic listing simply states, “It all adds up to something. Where the books end their story, the game will pick it up. An era of great discoveries lies ahead…”

It’s a safe bet that the new Metro game will be another gritty shooter, most likely for current-generation gaming platforms. If you’ve played the two games and are craving more Metro , you can pre-order the latest (and possibly final) book in the series, Metro 2035 – it releases in English this December.
