New Rainbow Six to Feature in Tournaments

New Rainbow Six to Feature in Tournaments

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a very tense game. Players are eliminated from the match after a single death. Map knowledge is crucial to success. Teams require a synergy and proper communication to win. It’s fun to play, it’s fun to watch. As such, it would only make sense for the games to be put into a competitive environment.

Ubisoft and ESL plan on doing exactly that. Beginning in March of this year, a series of tournaments for the game will start in Katowice, Poland before making their way to North America. The initial tournaments will take place on PC and Xbox One, while the North American ones will only take place on the Xbox One.

In the past, ESL has hosted major Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournaments, which is a game that is actually quite similar to this particular Rainbow Six. The first season of the tournaments will offer a $100,000 prize pool to be divided amongst the Xbox and PC finals.
