New Super Mario Maker Details Revealed

New Super Mario Maker Details Revealed

A couple new features of Super Mario Maker have been revealed in a brand new Nintendo video. First, a few new stage elements were shown off. You can now add custom stage elements and even music to stages. You can even record your own sounds using the Wii U GamePad’s microphone.

The game will also be compatible with over 50 Amiibo. As stated before, placing an amiibo on your gamepad allows you to place down a mystery mushroom, which will transform Mario into a cosplay version of another character. Using the 50 th anniversary Mario amiibo, however, will allow you to place a giant mushroom, allowing Mario to grow to huge sizes, break through blocks, and fight moustached enemies on a CRT TV.

In more disappointing news, the game plans to drip-feed your access to its tools. Because it doesn’t think that you will be able to handle all of its tools at once, it locks them. Instead, you have to spend a certain amount of time using basic tools, and from there, more unlock each day you play the game. To unlock everything you need to check into the level designer for ten straight days – and that may be a bit much.
