Next Uncharted 3 DLC Announced

None

Fans of Uncharted 3’s multiplayer—especially those who also like Killzone 3—are getting a little bonus. A new skin pack for your multiplayer characters arrives today, bringing some Killzone flavor to the Uncharted world. It includes a Capture Trooper skin, along with ISA and Helghast helmets for your customizable characters.

The skin pack is retailing for a measly $1.49 U.S., but if you’re a member of the Fortune Hunters’ Club, it’s absolutely free. Oh yeah, and remember how Naughty Dog said FHC members will be getting seven DLC packs? This one’s a bonus. So fear not, fellow Fortune Hunters, we’ll still be getting all four map packs as they are released.

And speaking of map packs, the first of these has been announced. It’s called “Flashback Map Pack #1,” and, as the name suggests, contains reworked versions of Uncharted 2 maps. On the PlayStation Blog, images for two of these maps have been released.

One of these maps is an obvious rebuild of the Fort, only it looks to have been made extra gloomy for its Uncharted 3 iteration. The other one looks quite a bit different than its Uncharted 2 counterpart, but is actually a remake of the Ice Caves that eschews the snowy environment for a more tropical one. There’s no official word on whether these maps will be joined by others, but I’m assuming we’ll see one or two more in the pack. Personally, I’m crossing my fingers for Plaza and the Lost City.

Is it just me, or is Uncharted 3’s multiplayer beginning to feel more and more like Uncharted 2’s multiplayer? But in no way is that a bad thing; Uncharted 2’s multiplayer was incredible.
