Though we still don’t have an exact date for the NGP’s release, Sony said that the NGP will definitely make it’s unreleased target launch window. Plenty of analysts and even a few Sony insiders had speculated that the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in the region would slow production efforts, but Sony Computer Entertainment’s Satoshi Fukuoka has stated that, “So far we see no impact from the quake on our launch plan.”  Of course, since no one knows what Sony’s launch plan is (aside from Sony themselves), there’s no way to know how true this statement is. Still, we should know more about the handheld’s release come June. And once those plans are set in stone, it would be difficult to imagine Sony deviating from them at all. |
