According to the Nielsen Ratings blog on The State of Video Gaming, the Nintendo Wii is the least used console at a 6.8% active usage percent. The GameCube scores higher at a 7.9%. The Xbox 360 is the leader at 11.4%, with the PS3 a close second at 10.6% The blog’s PDF explains, “The active user percent tells us how often a person used their console out of the total amount of time the console could have been used during the measurement period. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are the most used consoles with the highest active user percent.
