- Legendary Ninja (Ryu): Normal difficulty
- The Grip Of Murder (Ryu): Very Hard difficulty
Bonus difficulties
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding difficulty:
- Master Ninja: Successfully complete the game on the Very Hard difficulty.
- Ninja Dog: Die three times on the Normal difficulty.
- Very Hard: Successfully complete the game on the Hard difficulty.

- Feat of Ultimate Destruction (Bronze): Use the strongest Ultimate Technique on 100 enemies.
- Izuna Drop Master (Bronze): Use the Izuna Dro on 100 enemies.
- Guillotine Throw Master (Bronze): Use the Guillotine Throw on 100 enemies.
- Fire Wheels Master (Bronze): Use Fire Wheels successfully 100 times.
- Inferno Master (Bronze): Use Inferno successfully 100 times.
