Although the 3DS eShop was pushed back to the first week in June, if you need to prepare yourself for the launch, you can go out and purchase points cards right now for use with the device. So far, the points cards have only been seen at electronics retailer Best Buy, but I’m sure we’ll see them popping up in other places as we move closer to the eShop’s early June launch.  Although WiiPoints cards are fairly common, this is the first time Nintendo has created card-based currency specifically for a handheld. Perhaps they heard a rumor that people weren’t so keen on using their credit cards to purchase content over gaming networks anymore. |
