Nintendo Gaming Lounge will be open at SDCC 2015

Heading to the San Diego Comic Con next week on July 9, 2015? Nintendo wants you to stop by and say hello. The company will not only officially be at SDCC 2015 at booth 235, but also right next door. It’s setting up a Nintendo Gaming Lounge at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina next to the San Diego Convention Center.

The Nintendo Gaming Lounge will be the real place to be, and not just because you can get in without a SDCC badge. Games will be available to be played and tournaments (with prizes) will be held. 3DS fans can try Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Little Battlers eXperience , and Yo-Kai Watch . On the Wii U side, Skylanders SuperChargers, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Super Smash Bros ., and Yoshi’s Woolly World will be around.

The four tournaments might be the most exciting parts. Super Smash Bros. tournaments for children and children of all ages will be held July 11 at 9am and July 10 at 9am, respectively. Two Splatoon tournaments, where people can earn hats and three-packs of the amiibo, will be July 9 and 12 at 9am. The Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be July 12 at 9am, with winners getting a New 3DS XL and Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, Greninja, and Jigglypuff amiibo. Finally, you can play Little Battlers eXperience at multiple times throughout the day July 9-12 to attempt to win figures.

I bet you’re wishing you could be at SDCC 2015 now!
