Now All GameStops Want Your Retro Games

Now All GameStops Want Your Retro Games

GameStop’s been attempting to get back into the retro game business, but it’s been easing into it. Certain stores accepted them, you could really only find the games online, and it didn’t really seem like the company was super serious about it. But, apparently it was absolutely into it after all, as it’s announced that select consoles and games will be be accepted at all GameStop stores.

Now, GameStop doesn’t want all of your retro consoles and games. It has a pretty specific list. If you have NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, or Xbox games, they might want them. You probably won’t get top dollar for them, since the store’s going to take the best ones and sell them for probably two to three times what they’re giving you, but it is an option for people who want quick money from those systems and games.

I find it pretty funny to see PS1, GameCube, and Xbox games on that list. It wasn’t too long ago that GameStop was drastically discounting many of those games to get rid of them. Now, it wants all of them back. I guess they never imagined people would still want old, great games.
