OnLive Pricing Revealed

OnLive Pricing Revealed

None

While the thought of never needing to upgrade your PC’s hardware in order to keep up with the ever increasing horsepower requirements for games is certainly appealing, just how much will the online cloud-based gaming alternative, OnLive, cost? Due to a deal made with AT&T, anyone signing up for an OnLive subscription before July 15th will get their first year’s service for free. Those who take advantage of this will also get their second year at a discounted rate of $4.95 a month. However, there is still no word as to how much any of this will run you if you don’t decide to become an early adopter of the service.

Of course, these are just the prices for the service itself; the games you wish to play will have their own inherent costs as well. OnLive’s current offering of 19 purchasable titles will have prices ranging anywhere from $4.99 for titles like Brain Challenge to the full retail asking price of $59.99 for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction. Some of these titles will also be able to be rented, with rental costs varying between $4.99 for a three day rental and $8.99 for five days.
