Over 1 Million People Are Playing Evolve Now

Evolve is doing really well now that it’s gone free-to-play. It’s currently only in beta on the PC, but already Evolve: Stage 2 has hit a rather important milestone. Over one million new players have joined the game since Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games decided to go freemium one week ago. Not bad, considering the free version hasn’t even expanded to consoles yet.

Even better, everyone is getting a reward to celebrate over one million new players. Anyone who joins and logs in to Evolve by July 18 will get a free Blood Eagle Hunter skin for Griffin. Normally, you would need to acquire a Silver Key to get that cosmetic option.

This makes me wonder if we’re going to see more rewards doled out to people who decide to play Evolve . After all, the Turtle Rock Studios announcement does say, “Let the ‘Road to 2 Million’ celebration begin!” Maybe we’ll see another reward when that milestone is reached, too?
