Atlus has just revealed yet more details about Persona 4 Arena Ultimax ’s new Golden Arena mode. While still a fighting game at heart, this mode integrates a whole lot of RPG style functions, that players of the Shin Megami Tensei series will be familiar with. This mode allows you to gain experience and level up with your favorite character of choice, even buying and equipping items to them. As they level up they will learn new skills and abilities, and also increase their stats. Supposedly, there will be over 150 skills for you to learn.
Currently, it’s unclear what these skills do, but they are likely not new fighting game moves. Instead, they are more likely something along the lines of altered moves properties. There are lot of status effects in Persona 4 Arena , and it’s always possible to add these effects to other normal attacks. Other possibilities include meter regeneration, health regeneration, increased damage dealt, decreased damage taken, and more.
