PlayStation Vue’s Losing Viacom Networks

PlayStation Vue’s Losing Viacom Networks

People who use PlayStation Vue for TV viewing may want to reconsider their memberships. Sony’s service is going to be losing some rather important channels on November 11. Viacom-owned networks are going to be leaving. This isn’t a good thing.

See, Viacom owns some really great channels. Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, TV Land, MTV, BET, Spike, and CMT are some of the stations that will be gone as of this Friday. While this won’t impact the $40 Access and $45 Core subscribers too much, people paying $55 for Elite and $75 for Ultra subscriptions will definitely feel a hit.

A few new stations will be joining PlayStation Vue today. BBC America and NBA TV will be available for set plans. Eventually, more local CBS and Fox stations, as well as VICE, will appear. But it’s hard to compare smaller stations and wins like that when we’re going to be losing so much.
