Pokken Tournament Making Debut at EVO 2016

Pokken Tournament Making Debut at EVO 2016

The Evolution Championship Series (known as EVO) is the biggest and longest-running yearly fighting game tournament in the world. All of the most popular and most technical fighting games are represented there and players gather from all over the world to challenge each other and prove that they’re the very best (like no one ever was). This year EVO is getting a few new additions to the lineup, including Pokken Tournament: the long-awaited Pokemon brawler from Nintendo and Bandai Namco.

Also new to the lineup this year is Street Fighter V, which will be replacing the long-running Street Fighter IV, likely to the chagrin of many hardcore players. Also present: Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Guilty Gear Xrd, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat X, and Tekken 7. Pokken Tournament will release for the Wii U on March 18, and EVO 2016 will be held July 15-17 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
