While I’ve typically been critical of the practice of pre-ordering titles from outlets like GameStop in the past, I suppose a few little perks now and again never hurt anyone!
Via the Xbox Wire, we recently learned both the following titles are available for pre-order (with Mordor getting a special little insensitive):
- Xbox One Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Pre-Order , available starting today for $59.99, includes the standard game, plus Dark Ranger Skin and “Test of Power” Challenge Mode.
- Xbox One Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Pre-Order , available starting today for $59.99.
For those who’ve never used Microsoft’s “pre-purchase” option before, it couldn’t be simpler! According to the instructions posted on their official blog, you simply pay in full ahead of its release, and then the “…game will download, along with any updates issued before the release date, so the game is up-to-date and ready to play. Then, when the game is officially released to the Xbox Store, timed with local launch availability, simply go to the game in My Games & Apps, go to your pre-pinned tile, or say “Xbox, go to Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition ” or “Xbox, go to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor ” to start playing.”
