Rainbow Six Siege’s Recoil System Changing Again

Rainbow Six Siege’s Recoil System Changing Again

The recoil system in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is getting another major overhaul. This time, the recoil system will behave at random like it did originally, but shots will land exactly at the tip of gun’s aim point. This should allow the spirit of the random recoil system to remain intact, while giving players better control over their shots.

The Rainbow Six Siege development team has gone through a number of different recoil system changes over time. This one seems to strike the best balance between the different iterations. The main goal of it, as stated by the developers, is to put the control of skill back in the hands of players. It also doesn’t allow sloppy shooters to get pure luck headshots. So kills in Rainbow Six Siege have been officially put back into the realm of pure skill rather than luck.

This newest recoil system isn’t live quite yet, rather it will be going to the Test Servers where fans can give feedback on it. If it makes it through that phase with a widely positive reaction, then the new recoil system will be added into Rainbow Six Siege proper. The developers request that fans head to either the Test Server , or main Rainbow Six Siege subreddits to give their feedback.

Are you tentatively hopeful about the new recoil system, or do you find it lame?
