Rayman Comes To iOS And Android

Rayman Comes To iOS And Android

Rayman is quickly becoming synonymous with awesome current-generation platforming. Now the limbless hero is making his way onto mobile platforms.

The newest Rayman title is called Rayman Jungle Run. While few gameplay details have been revealed, the title makes us think that this will be one of those one-button, run-forward types of mobile games. The trailer, which showed Rayman constantly moving to the right in a way that would make Sonic: The Hedgehog jealous, only serves to support these suspicions.

Rayman Jungle Run will hit both iOS and Android platforms on September 20. The game will be developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Pasta Games and will be powered by the UbiArt engine, the same engine that Rayman Origins ran on. It will feature cloud save support and will feature online leaderboards as well. The title’s price has not yet been announced.

Even if this is a one-button game, it’s easily one of the nicest looking mobile games we have seen so far. If this is what smartphone and iPad games can look like, they will soon be in a position to compete with handhelds like the Vita and the 3DS.
