Rayman Legends Delay Comes With Tons Of New Content

Rayman Legends Delay Comes With Tons Of New Content

When Rayman Legends first got delayed, Ubisoft rolled out all of the standard excuses. “We want to make this game the best it can be” was probably the most common mantra, but that phrase has been so overused by developers that it always feels a little weak. However, it appears that Ubisoft might be one of the first companies ever that really meant what they said.

According to an Official Nintendo Magazine interview with Rayman creator Michel Ancel, the team is using this extra development time to cram a whole bunch of extra content into the game. The time has allowed the team to add 30 more levels to the game along with several extra bonuses, secrets, mini-games, and so forth.

When asked about the potential backlash that would come from delaying such a highly anticipated title, Ancel said “I wasn’t shocked, but it was really hard for us. Of course, there are more important issues and problems in the world but we worked really hard to make something and were so involved, it was difficult for us and the fans.”

Rayman Legends is coming out on the Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this September.
