Have you been shielding yourself from any and all Beyond Good & Evil 2 rumors and news, because you can’t stand being hurt by a troubled development cycle again? Well, now might be a good time to start believing again. Ubisoft’s Michel Ancel, creator of Beyond Good & Evil , has been posting character designs for the game on Instagram with all sorts of teases. We’ve seen a little sus sapien with a human , a carcharodon sapien , and a rhinoceros sapien .
As you may or may not recall, Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced eight years ago! Ubisoft said it was working on it back in May 2008. We didn’t hear much about it until 2011, when Ancel and his team put it on hold to make Rayman Origins . In 2012, development started again. Rumor had it the game was being playtested in 2015, and in 2016 a trademark was filed and rumor surfaced that it could be a NX exclusive.
Maybe, just maybe, we’ll be lucky and Beyond Good & Evil 2 will still find its way to consoles this generation? It’d be a welcome addition to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and/or NX game libraries. Perhaps this is the sign that Ubisoft is finally making this game a priority again.
