Michel Ancel has been less than subtle in his hinting at a new Beyond Good & Evil . He posted three images on social media that swept headlines because they seemed to indicate that the game was in the works, but Ubisoft had yet to mention anything officially. Today Ubi finally broke its silence via this Facebook update : “If you’ve been waiting for news about BG&E… well, here you go! We are delighted to confirm that Michel Ancel is currently working with the Ubisoft Montpellier Studio on a new Beyond Good & Evil game.”
The response has been unanimously positive. Fans and critics alike are expressing their enthusiasm for the project, and we can’t wait to hear more about it. Do keep in mind, though, that Ancel is currently working on Wild , which is still a ways off. It will likely be a very long time before we get our hands on the new Beyond Good & Evil , so temper your enthusiasm accordingly. In the meantime, you can always pick up the original on PC for free .
