If you were hoping for some Beyond Good & Evil 2 footage in today’s Ubisoft conference… what were you thinking? It was never going to show up, but Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot did confirm that the game is still on the way during the company’s post-presser livestream. He did not say whether it’s currently in active development, but he suggested it was something we would see “at some point.” That there is the height of CEO hype for a vaporware title, folks.
The biggest hurdle for the long-awaited game is that lead developer Michel Ancel keeps being put on different projects. He’s currently working on Wild , another game that did not make an appearance at this year’s Ubisoft conference. I suggest any hopeful BG&E fans begin praying that pigs suddenly sprout wings.
