Real Rock Band Guitar Costs a Fortune

Real Rock Band Guitar Costs a Fortune

None

Rock Band is an expensive game. You need peripheral drums, guitar(s), microphones, and now even a keyboard to get the classic experience. But if you want the full “pro” experience, complete with real guitar, you’ll have to pay for it. Fender has finally released details for their Squier Stratocaster, which is a real guitar and can work independently of the game. The controller will be released in January 2011 and cost $279. Although that’s relatively cheap for a functioning musical instrument (with the Fender branding, at least), the price is a little high for just a controller, especially since other Pro-mode controllers are available for half the cost. But if you want to play Rock Band with a real instrument, this is looking like your best bet.
