Are you ready to rock? I guess not. PC players proved that, because Rock Band 4’ s Fig crowdfunding campaign failed. Harmonix was hoping to raise $1.5 million to bring the game to PCs and resurrect the Rock Band Network for original songs and music. However, 1,674 people only managed to raise $792,817.
Harmonix made a final update on the Rock Band 4 Fig page addressing the failed operation. It thanked the people who did contribute, explained its disappointment at the campaign’s failure, and shared responses to some common critiques of the crowdfunding effort. Most importantly, it said that it has no plans for a PC port now that it’s failed and that it’s not possible to bring the Rock Band Network back without the Steam Workshop.
Looks like we’ll have to settle for our PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
