Despite the fact that Techland distributed the wrong version of Dead Island on release day, the title went on to sell over 2 million copies in the first week. So, it really shouldn’t be surprising that the developer may have plans for future games that include the word “Dead” in the title. Now, Techland hasn’t officially announced a sequel as of yet, but they have filed a trademark for “Dead World” in the U.S., which suggests that a more expansive sequel may be in the works. Obviously, we’re only speculating at the moment, but it would be naive to think that Techland isn’t looking toward future projects considering that they have a movie deal in the works.
