RUMOR: Dead Island Sequel In The Works?

RUMOR: Dead Island Sequel In The Works?

None

Despite the fact that Techland distributed the wrong version of Dead Island on release day, the title went on to sell over 2 million copies in the first week. So, it really shouldn’t be surprising that the developer may have plans for future games that include the word “Dead” in the title.

Now, Techland hasn’t officially announced a sequel as of yet, but they have filed a trademark for “Dead World” in the U.S., which suggests that a more expansive sequel may be in the works. Obviously, we’re only speculating at the moment, but it would be naive to think that Techland isn’t looking toward future projects considering that they have a movie deal in the works.

Dead Island received a pretty severe lashing by critics and fans when it was released in September, but that didn’t stop it from becoming a commercial success. Hopefully, Techland has learned a few lessons over the last few months about what not to do when releasing a game.

Obviously Dead World isn’t going to hit the market any time soon. So, why not read our Dead Island review a few times while you wait?
