Here’s one that you can take with a HUGE grain of salt. Apparently, a “Sony Insider” has revealed the intended price point for the Sony NGP, and the news isn’t good for frugal gamers. The unnamed source said that there will be two models: standard and 3G. The standard model will retail for between $250 and $280.  As for the 3G model, the base price will be $320 to $350, and users will pay a subscription fee for the 3G features. The source did not elaborate on how the subscription fee would work or how much the fee might be. Of course, this source is far from the last word, and while no one expects Sony to officially comment on this rumor, it makes for some interesting speculation. |
